In accordance with Taiwan government’s Southward Policy, YunTech has been working with a Vietnamese university since 2015 in order to hold the overseas master program5. The 2nd Overseas Master of Business Administration in Marketing Program in Vietnam held the ceremony of the first school day in a simple but organized way at Vietnam University of Commerce (VUC) on August 21st, 2016.

Since the start of the overseas master program, the program has attracted the participation of elites such as government officials and managers from banks or other important companies in the country in Vietnam. The ceremony was held by Dean Chen Cheng-hsui of the College of Management, YunTech. Vice President Nguyen, Dean Nguyen of the Office of International Affairs of VUC and Chair Pan Wei-hwa of the Department of Business Administration of YunTech also joined the ceremony.

Dean Chen expressed his appreciation especially to VUC for its assistance while he was delivering a speech. He also encouraged the students to learn hard through the excellent teaching of YunTech’s College of Management, which is accredited by AACSB, and to come to YunTech to join the graduation ceremony at our beautiful campus once they have finished all their courses. Chair Pan expressed his welcoming words to the students and also did a presentation to introduce the courses and beautiful campus to the new students. He also stated he hoped all the students could find their own potential and become successful after finishing the program.

The students of the 2nd year of the program are not only elites or managers from different companies or officials from the Vietnamese government, but also come from all walks of life and also have as great experiences as students from the first year of the program. Due to the experiences and introduction of the first group of the program, the student number of this year is higher than the first group. It seems that the program has already become an important platform for in-service training for Vietnamese people. It is hoped the cooperation between YunTech and VUC will become more intimate, thus providing a better platform for in-service trainings.
